Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a friendly lifeguard at Lakeside Leisure Centre, Raymond Terrace, NSW. You will oversee daily pool operations and ensure safety for all patrons, both in and around the water.

We value safety, energy and excellent communication. This casual role offers mornings, evenings and weekend shifts with a competitive remuneration and access to club facilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of OHS and public safety within facility.
• Able to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hold current lifeguard and first aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all patrons.
• Maintain water safety and respond to incidents promptly and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with patrons of diverse ages, abilities and backgrounds.
• Support high standards of customer service and safety across the facility.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified lifeguard who values water safety, loves working with people, & who wants to keep the community safe in our facilities.

The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguard to join the team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded
