Caroma is seeking an experienced licensed plumber to become a Technical Trainer at the Prestons Centre of Excellence. You will run practical training, demonstrate products and share your plumbing knowledge with sales teams, customers and industry peers.
With or without formal training experience, you’ll be coached to develop training skills while leveraging your credibility as a plumber. Occasional travel across Australia and New Zealand is expected.
Get off the tools. Stay in the trade. Share what you know.
Ready for a change from being on the tools every day, but don't want to leave the plumbing industry behind?
We're looking for an experienced licensed plumber to join us as a Technical Trainer.
Your plumbing knowledge is the most important thing. If you've trained apprentices, coached other plumbers, run toolbox talks or simply enjoy showing others how things should be done, we'd love to hear from you.
And if you haven't been a professional trainer before? That's OK. We can teach you how to train. You bring the plumbing expertise.
Based at our Prestons Centre of Excellence, you'll use your trade experience to help our teams and customers better understand plumbing products, installation, technical requirements and practical solutions.
This isn't a job where you'll sit behind a desk all day. You'll be running practical training, demonstrating products, getting out in the field, meeting customers and helping people build their technical knowledge and confidence.
First and foremost, you know plumbing.
You'll ideally have:
You do not need to come from a learning or professional training background.
Maybe you've trained apprentices, supervised a crew, shown new starters the ropes, delivered toolbox talks, helped other plumbers solve problems or you're simply the person people call when they need technical advice.
We can help you build the training skills. What we need from you is the plumbing knowledge and credibility.
If you already have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, that's great, but it's not essential.
This could be the opportunity to take everything you've learnt throughout your plumbing career and use it in a completely different way.
Put down the tools, share what you know, and help develop the next level of technical capability across our industry.
