Job summary

EDL is seeking a skilled Power Plant Operator in Adelaide, SA. You will manage a 1000kW spark-ignition gas-fuelled plant and associated equipment, monitor instrumentation and control systems, and perform routine inspections and maintenance.

Applicants should hold an electrical license, have a valid driver's licence, and be prepared for electrical and mechanical fault-finding, reporting, and roster duties as required. First aid is desirable; medical and background checks will apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining, fault finding and operating power generation equipment.
• Electrical license (essential)
• First Aid certificate desirable
• Current drivers licence is essential

Responsibilities

• Operate gas fuelled power plant, 1000kW spark ignition engines, and all associated power generation equipment;
• Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems;
• Perform regular inspection and maintenance of fixed plant, engines, gas fields and associated equipment;
• Undertake electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repairs and reporting;
• Monitor the process to ensure optimum output;
• Carry out routine housekeeping duties;
• Utilise the Maintenance Management and Quality Assurance Systems as part of the daily functions.
