Job summary

EDL Energy is seeking an experienced technician to operate and maintain a gas-fuelled power plant in South Australia. You will manage 1000kW spark-ignition engines, instrumentation, and process controls, ensuring optimal output and compliance with QA systems.

Requirements include an electrical license and a current driver’s licence; First Aid is desirable. PLC, high voltage, and gas engine experience are advantageous in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining, fault finding and operating power generation equipment.
• Electrical license is essential.
• Current drivers licence is essential.
• First Aid certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas fuelled power plant, 1000kW spark ignition engines, and all associated power generation equipment.
• Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems.
• Perform regular inspection and maintenance of fixed plant, engines, gas fields and associated equipment.
• Undertake electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repairs and reporting.
• Monitor the process to ensure optimum output.
• Carry out routine housekeeping duties.
• Utilise the Maintenance Management and Quality Assurance Systems as part of the daily functions.
