Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1) to join the Cairns engineering team, reporting to the Senior Base Engineers, for completion of assigned aircraft maintenance.

You will perform duties of LAME, ensure maintenance and documentation meet MOE/CAMO, uphold safety, and participate in shift handovers and CRS control.

Australian working rights are required, ITAR considerations may apply, and the role offers opportunities across programs and technologies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with LAME B1 license.
• Dual licensed to perform Heavy and Line maintenance.
• DHC8 classic or Cl604 type rating.
• Must hold full Australian working rights.
• ITAR requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Ensure maintenance, documentation and certification comply with MOE and CAMO requirements.
• Prioritize safety to maintain a zero-harm environment and participate in safety programs.

The Opportunity

This role is an opportunity to contribute to join the Cairns engineering team as a B1 LAME reporting to the Senior Base Engineers, for the completion of assigned aircraft maintenance. In this role, you will:

• Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements
• Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
• Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers
• Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.

• Experienced LAME B1 or dual licensed Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
• Hold a DHC8 classic or Cl604 type rating
• This role requires the successful applicant to hold full Australian working rights.
• Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
• In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
