Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage Pty Ltd is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join the APAS facility in Alice Springs. The role focuses on aircraft storage induction, preservation of engines/APUs, and ensuring maintenance checks meet stringent CASA, EASA, FAA and Part 145 standards.

You will work with a team of Licensed Engineers, interact with airlines and leaseholders, and contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices at the Alice Springs facility.

Qualifications

• Experience with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft.
• Exceptional technical understanding of major aircraft models.
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Creative troubleshooting and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive aircraft storage induction, engine/APU preservation, and routine maintenance checks.
• Coordinate with Licensed Engineers on reactivation checks, engine operations, and defect repairs.
• Manage customer directives, aircraft assessments, and comply with ADs and quality controls.
• Collaborate with airlines and leaseholders to uphold maintenance standards and customer relations.
• Ensure adherence to CASA, EASA, FAA, 2-REG, BCAA, and other Part 145 approvals.

Join Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage’s (APAS) dynamic team in a central position that places you at the heart of aircraft maintenance. As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will play an essential role in upkeep and care activities at APAS’ aircraft storage facility in Alice Springs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aircraft Maintenance & Storage Induction:
  • Conduct comprehensive narrow and wide-body aircraft storage induction, including engine/APU preservation.
  • Handle routine maintenance checks, ensuring all aircraft adhere to strict quality measures.
  • Manage customer work directives, aircraft assessments, and ADs, and guarantee timely actions.
  • Aircraft Reactivation & Diagnostics:
  • Work closely with Licensed Engineers on significant Aircraft Reactivation checks, including tasks such as engine de-preservation and gear retraction tests.
  • Engage in component replacements, engine operations, and defect repairs.
  • Apply your technical proficiency to detect and address defects swiftly.
• Teamwork:
  • Collaborate effectively with a dedicated team of professional Licensed Aircraft Engineers committed to maintenance excellence.
  • Interact directly with top-tier airlines and leaseholders to ensure top-notch customer relations.
• Regulation Adherence & Forward-Thinking:
  • Maintain strict adherence to all pertinent CASA, EASA, FAA, 2-REG, BCAA, and other NAA Part 145 maintenance permissions.
  • Remain updated with the newest industry advancements and integrate them into APAS' maintenance methodologies.
  • Be part of APAS' continued growth in the Asia-Pacific domain through continuous improvement and adoption of modern solutions.
• Compliance & Innovation:

Ensure full compliance with all relevant CASA, EASA, FAA, 2-REG, BCAA, and other NAA Part 145 maintenance approvals.

• Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience working with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft
  • Exceptional technical understanding of prominent aircraft models.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office application suite.
  • Inventive troubleshooting and resilience under challenging scenarios.

Requirements

Applicants MUST have Part 66 Licensed Engineers (CASA/EASA/UKCAA) with Type Rating on license.

Benefits

Compensation:

Remuneration Package: $130,000 - $160,000 inclusive of competitive base salary, superannuation, and Discretionary Performance Bonus after 12 months of continuous service

Overtime: Paid and calculated based on your base salary
