Job summary

Virgin Australia is seeking a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) for Cairns Airport on a Day/Night 4/4 roster. You will certify maintenance per the System of Certification, determine major defects and unsafe conditions, and supervise maintenance tasks.

You will hold a CASA B1 licence with 737NG type rating and related training certificates, plus recent QA documentation. The role emphasizes safety, quality service, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of recent certification experience in the preceding 2 years.
• Ability to supervise maintenance tasks and report unsafe conditions.
• CASA B1 licensed with relevant training and certifications.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

As aLAME you will be approved for the certification of aircraft maintenance in accordance with the approved System of Certification.You willreport to the Leader Northern and be required to make determinations in regard tomajor defects and discrepancies, recogniseand reportunsafe conditions and conduct certification and supervision of maintenance tasks.

You will be required to participate in the delivery of quality services whilst maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and fellow worker.

To do this, you will be an appropriately licensed LAME on aircraft types maintained by Virgin Tech,have extensive industry experience in an aircraft maintenance rolewith the ability todisplay excellent analytical skills and have demonstrated supervisory experience.

You will also have a good working knowledge of HSE requirements, demonstrated experience insuperior customer service practices and have the ability tocommunicate with all levels of the engineering team.

• Certified true copy of B1 CASA licence
• Relative Type training certificate 737NG (MAX rating desirable not mandatory)
• Relative Difference training certificate (if applicable)
• Relative EGR Training certificates (if applicable)
• CASR Part 145 recognisedHF Initial Training

You must be able to demonstrate recent certification experience of a minimum of 6 months in the preceding 2 years. This can be demonstrated through either a letter from your current/previous QA manager advising thenumber, type and length of QA approvals held or by submitting your current/previous employer Company Approval statement.

Please note this role will be based at the Cairns Airport and will operate on a Day/Night 4/4 roster.
