Job summary

Padua College is seeking a Librarian to lead and support learning for students in Years 5–12. This full-time term-time role, on a permanent contract, is based in the College Library and focuses on access to information, digital resources, and information services.

The Librarian will manage databases and online journals, support research, and program library initiatives in alignment with the College’s educational goals. Collaborative and service-oriented candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Studies or Library Science.
• Demonstrated ability to identify technologies that support library services.
• Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily library operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Coordinate and promote library programs and events with the Program Leader.
• Manage the College's digital resources including databases, e-books, and journals.
• Develop strategies to increase library usage and community engagement.
• Support students in research and information needs with reference services.
