Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Librarian to deliver access to information and support learning across campuses in Albury and Wagga Wagga. You’ll help students develop information literacy, guide digital resources, and collaborate with teaching teams to enhance library services.

This temporary full-time role runs until September 2027, with a prospect of a talent pool for upcoming vacancies. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, travel to regional sites as needed, and contribute to a modern library

$85,313 - $111,461 salary package - includes base salary ($75,164 - $98,202), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

As a Librarian at TAFE NSW, you’ll be the go‑to expert who connects students with the information, tools, and confidence they need to thrive. You’ll deliver dynamic, customer‑focused support, both in person and online, helping learners build strong information literacy skills and navigate a wide range of digital and physical resources with ease.

You’ll collaborate with teaching teams, champion our collections and digital guides, and promote innovative library services that inspire engagement across campus. We are also looking to build a Talent Pool from this recruitment process to fill upcoming permanent and temporary Librarian Grade 1 positions.

About You

You’re an enthusiastic and dedicated library professional who is passionate about delivering high‑quality library and information services. With a recognised graduate or postgraduate library qualification and eligibility for ALIA membership, you bring a strong foundation in the principles, concepts, and theory of contemporary library practice.

Tech‑savvy and future‑focused, you’re comfortable working with library systems including circulation, inventory, and analytics and you stay curious about emerging technologies such as digital literacy tools and AI. You’re able to support others in developing these skills and enjoy helping people navigate the evolving information landscape. Adaptable and collaborative, you thrive in dynamic environments and are willing to travel occasionally to maintain service continuity across the library network.
