Job summary

Blake Oliver Consulting is seeking an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join a leading international insurance services firm in Sydney. You will manage a diverse portfolio of complex liability claims from notification to resolution, assessing liability, coverage and quantum while guiding strategy with insurers.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of Australian liability insurance and proven capability with high-value or litigated claims, supported by excellent investigation,

Qualifications

• Several years' experience within loss adjusting, claims management or liability claims.
• Strong technical knowledge across liability insurance and Australian legislation.
• Experience handling complex, litigated or high-value claims.
• Excellent investigation, analytical and report-writing capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to insurers and stakeholders.
• Commercial approach to claims resolution and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex and high-value liability claims from notification through finalisation.
• Investigate claims via site visits, interviews and evidence gathering.
• Assess policy coverage, liability, causation and quantum; provide recommendations.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, insureds, solicitors, claimants and experts.
• Review statements, reports, contracts, photos and medical information.
• Appoint external experts, investigators or legal representatives as needed.
• Prepare detailed investigation, liability, quantum and settlement reports.
