A leading Insurtech company is seeking a Liability Claims Handler for a home-based role in Newcastle. You will manage a caseload of Liability claims, negotiating settlements while working independently. Ideal candidates will have experience in the insurance field, with strong negotiation and communication skills. This ‘Third Party Administrator – with a difference’ is the brain child of several insurance veterans with rich pedigrees in utilising state-of-the-art technology to tackle longstanding problems in the claims industry. Cash rich, it has been backed by a number of specialist VC firms, and has long-term agreements in place with some of the best-known MGA’s on the planet.
This is a 100% home-based role, where you will be provided with all the tools needed to make a real success of this role (including a top of the range Apple MacBook with additional screens etc), and benefiting from an extremely friendly and supportive team environment.
You’ll efficiently deal with a caseload of Liability claims on behalf of a number of MGAs and insurers. This portfolio will typically comprise Employer’s and Public Liability claims up to a value of £25,000 arising within a range of industry sectors such as hospitality, manufacturing and leisure. There will also be a small amount of 3rd party property damage claims, and other losses such as Products Liability.
Using your extensive experience and knowledge, you will negotiate claims through to final settlement. You’ll have access to the most state-of-the-art technology, as well as full support from a dedicated Claims Support Team.
We welcome applications from Liability or Casualty Claims Handlers who have worked for an insurance company, or handled claims via delegated authority at a broker, loss adjuster or in a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
The Casualty Manager is quite relaxed about working hours, and whilst most of the team work on a 09.00 -17.00 basis, you can work outside of these hours if you need to be flexible around childcare or other commitments.
