Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV 2 Driver for Ipswich Depot. You will operate LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to service trade waste customers, working outdoors in a role where initiative matters.

The position offers a 45-hour contracted week with opportunities for overtime and a potential bonus, plus on-the-job training and access to company perks. You’ll join a team committed to safe driving and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a crew, depending on the role
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures

Job description

LGV 2 Driver - PM

Location: Ipswich Depot
Days of work: Monday - Friday, 45hr contracted week, plus the opportunity for overtime and to earn bonus.
Start/Finish Times: 14.00 00.00

Pay: £16.87p/h + Back Shift Allowance

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
