Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services Carseldine is seeking an experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to enhance the wellbeing of residents at the Carseldine Aged Care service. You will work with the Lifestyle Team to design and deliver activities aligned with individual interests, helping residents stay engaged, connected and active.

The role requires a Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure (or Diversional Therapy) and prior aged care experience.

Qualifications

• Essential Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure, Diversional Therapy, or equivalent.
• Experience in an aged care environment, delivering leisure and lifestyle programs (including residents with dementia).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills; ability to follow care plans.

St Vincent's Care Services – Carseldine QLD

We are looking for an experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join an experienced and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Carseldine Aged care service. Historically known as Holy Spirit Home, our 189-bed facility offers residents a supportive and welcoming environment, with Residential Living aged care, Independent Living and Community Living services all available at the same location.

You'll play an important role in creating meaningful and enjoyable experiences for our residents. Working closely with the Lifestyle Team, you'll support residents to stay engaged, connected and active through a variety of activities tailored to their individual interests, while building positive relationships with residents and their families

Things that work for us:

Casual position to cover planned and unexpected leave

Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure, Diversional Therapy, or a similar qualification (essential)

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks

Experience in an aged care environment, including developing and delivering leisure and lifestyle programs, particularly for residents living with dementia

Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills, including written and verbal communication

Ability to follow care plans and work within established guidelines

Willingness to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (essential)

Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance, or willingness to obtain one (essential)
