Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking a diligent Legal Support Officer in Bendigo to assist the Prosecutions Branch within the Legal Services Department, supporting Magistrates' and Children's Courts.

You will manage briefs of evidence, prepare court briefs, and liaise with prosecutors and stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in Legal Services or Criminal Justice is highly regarded.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa required.
• Outstanding administrative and records management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, record, manage, and maintain large volumes of briefs of evidence in hard copy and electronic form.
• Prepare briefs for court by cross referencing the court list against filed and electronic briefs.
• Maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the team functions efficiently.
• Answer enquiries and perform reception duties including timely advice to managers and stakeholders.
• Monitor and action group email accounts.
• Sort and book incoming and outgoing mail.
• Undertake other duties as required by line managers.
