Job summary

Victoria Police in Bendigo is seeking a proactive Legal Support Officer in the Legal Services Department to support prosecutors in Magistrates' and Children's Courts and other courts in the Loddon Mallee region.

You will perform administrative duties, manage briefs of evidence, prepare court briefs, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient case work. Training and flexible work arrangements are available in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Duties include recording and managing large volumes of briefs of evidence
• Prepare briefs for court by cross referencing court lists against filed and electronic briefs
• Maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders for efficient team function
• Answer enquiries and provide timely advice to managers and other stakeholders
• Monitor and action group email accounts; sort/booking mail
• Undertake other duties as required by line managers
