About the role

Brendan Holland & Michael Cahir are seeking a skilled Legal Secretary/Conveyancer to assist in the conduct and completion of conveyancing, wills and powers of attorney and probate and commercial leasing files.

The position is either full or part time.

Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support
  • Preparing legal documents, and correspondence
  • Conducting property conveyancing transactions, including preparing Contracts of Sale and Section 32 Statements, preparing transfers and Duties online forms, arranging and attending to PEXA settlements, liaising with clients, agents, and other parties
  • Assisting in conduct of Probate files, including preparing advertisements and preparing and uploading documents to Redcrest
  • Assisting in preparation of wills and powers of attorney
  • Assisting in preparation of commercial leases and transfers of leases, under guidance and supervision of legal practitioner
  • Typing of dictated correspondence and documents
  • Coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and other client-related activities
  • Answering telephone calls

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a legal secretary or conveyancing role
  • Sound knowledge of PEXA and Duties Online
  • Strong proficiency in using legal software and systems, including conveyancing platforms
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and conveyancing practices and procedures
