Our client, a long standing and successful industry Superfund is seeking a junior lawyer to join the legal investments team.

This is an exciting time to join a leading brand with substantial funds under management and an impressive growth trajectory.

The fund invests in private and public markets and cross multiple asset classes domestically and internationally. The role reports to a Senior Legal Counsel and will involve working alongside senior lawyers and supporting portfolio managers to help shape the investment strategy and to ensure the fund’s investment objectives are realised, protected, and conducted appropriately.

The focus will be on fund investment related matters and direct investment work.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and fund related documentation, IMAs and service agreements
• Managing legal workstreams for direct infrastructure transactions and direct debt transactions
• Supporting the broader team on M&A and JV activity
• Providing advice in connection with regulations, legislation, and regulatory reform
• Research, and providing training to the business
• Managing external legal counsel

This is an exciting role for an engaging and commercially astute M&A or Funds lawyer keen to develop their career with experienced legal and investment teams.

Experience and familiarity within a commercial investment and/or finance environment would be well-regarded. Applications welcome from lawyers with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE gained from a commercial law firm or similar in-house environment.
