The University of New South Wales – Kensington NSW invites applications for a Lecturer (Physiotherapy Clinical Educator) to coordinate and deliver physiotherapy clinical placement programs within the School of Health Sciences.

The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, evidence-based teaching, and strong engagement with clinical partners, while fostering student success and continuous improvement in physiotherapy education.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physiotherapy or related discipline or significant clinical education experience.
• Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia.
• Experience delivering clinical education and coordinating clinical placements.
• Knowledge of work-integrated learning and online teaching.
• Experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching design and delivery.
• Familiarity with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and curriculum design.
• Desirable knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning.

Lecturer (Physiotherapy Clinical Educator)

• Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
• Remuneration: $133k - $156k base (+17% super and a leave loading)
• Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.
• Location: UNSW Campus, Kensington. Role will require occasional site visits and a full drivers licence is strongly preferred

This Opportunity

The Physiotherapy Clinical Educator is responsible for coordinating and delivering physiotherapy clinical placement programs within the School of Health Sciences, ensuring high-quality clinical education and student learning experiences. The role contributes to curriculum development, evidence-based teaching, and strong engagement with clinical partners, while fostering student success and continuous improvement in physiotherapy education.

Key skills and experience required:

• A PhD in Physiotherapy or related disciplines or significant clinical education experience.
• Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia.
• Demonstrated clinical experience within the industry and experience with work-integrated learning and clinical education
• Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development
• Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable)
