The University of Western Australia in Perth seeks an experienced academic to deliver high-quality teaching in Nursing across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The role includes curriculum design, assessment, simulation-based learning and engagement with health industry partners.

You will supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students and collaborate with healthcare providers and professional bodies to advance education and patient outcomes in Western Australia.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Nursing or a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of higher professional qualifications and contemporary professional practice experience.
  • Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering engaging, student-centred teaching, assessment and learning activities in higher education and/or clinical education settings.
  • Experience supporting and assessing students in clinical and/or simulation-based learning environments, with a commitment to inclusive and equitable learning practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to contribute positively to collaborative teams, professional partnerships and broader university activities.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to curriculum design, review, assessment, simulation-based learning, professional practice education, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

The Department of Nursing within the School of Health and Clinical Sciences is building a contemporary nursing workforce equipped to meet the evolving health needs of Western Australia and beyond.
