Job Description

Join one of Australia’s most engaged nursing schools and help shape the next generation of nurses.
We’re seeking a Lecturer (Biomedical Science in Nursing) to deliver high-quality teaching and coordination in a teaching-focused capacity.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, student-centred teaching in Bioscience across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs, fostering active participation and outstanding learning experiences.
  • Coordinate courses and contribute to curriculum innovation using problem-based, authentic and technology-enhanced learning and assessment strategies.
  • Promote student success and employability through collaboration with industry, community and healthcare partners.
  • Engage in scholarship of learning and teaching to inform and enhance teaching practice, curriculum design and assessment.
  • Contribute to the collegial, inclusive and values-led culture of the School, supporting excellence in education and student experience.

This is a continuing, part-time (50%) position based primarily at Griffith University’s Logan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus university, you may be required to work across other locations.

The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation.

Qualifications

You will also have:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
  • A Master’s qualification relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated bioscience teaching experience within a health or nursing context.
  • Evidence of innovation in teaching practice, for example, simulation, digital/technology-enhanced learning or authentic assessment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and student success.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive student and staff relationships and external partnerships.
