• Teaching: Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in software engineering and/or cyber security, including studio-based learning, course coordination, assessment, academic counselling and the application of relevant University teaching rules.
• Curriculum and educational innovation: Design contemporary programs, learning materials and assessment practices responding to technology and student learning developments.
• Scholarship of teaching and learning: Build an emerging profile in teaching impact and scholarship of teaching and learning, contributing to projects and funding applications.
• Citizenship and service: Demonstrate UQ values through collaboration, participation in priority activities and committees, and engagement with industry, government and professional bodies.

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a teaching-focused Lecturer in Software Engineering and/or Cyber Security to create meaningful impact on the next generation of technology professionals. Working in a collaborative and inclusive academic environment, you will lead engaging, studio-based learning experiences, coordinate contemporary courses and help students develop the practical and human-centred capabilities needed to navigate a rapidly changing discipline, including the opportunities and challenges presented by AI assistants.

Key Responsibilities

About You
