Job summary

AKG Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Leasing and Property Officer to join our Property and Facilities team. The role covers leasing, administration and management of AKG's national property portfolio across Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

The position is a full-time 12-month contract with the possibility of converting to permanent. You will support leasing activities, coordinate lease documentation, maintain landlord relationships, and administer rent reviews and other obligations to

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial leasing and property management.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience administering a multi-site commercial property portfolio.
• Strong understanding of commercial lease documentation, lease administration, and lease negotiation processes.
• Experience managing landlord and agent relationships and negotiating commercial outcomes.
• Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing rents, outgoings, budgets, and occupancy costs.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proven team player.
• Property Qualifications desirable

Responsibilities

• Support leasing activities across AKG's national property portfolio, including management of lease renewals, relocations, consolidations, expansions, and new site acquisitions.
• Coordinate the preparation, review, execution, and administration of lease documentation in conjunction with internal stakeholders and internal/external legal advisers.
• Maintain strong landlord and agent relationships to support positive commercial outcomes and efficient issue resolution.
• Administer lease obligations including rent reviews, outgoings reconciliations, management of critical dates and make good obligations.
• Undertake property inspections and site visits as required to identify maintenance, compliance, operational, and lease-related issues.
• Monitor landlord compliance with maintenance, repair, and building service obligations under lease agreements.
• Assist in resolving landlord, tenant, and property-related disputes through effective stakeholder engagement and commercial negotiation.
