Job summary

St Peters Lutheran College in Indooroopilly, Brisbane, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Teacher for the Secondary Years. The role supports students with learning difficulties to access the curriculum and collaborates with the Exceptional Learners department to tailor strategies.

Queensland teacher registration and a learning support qualification are required. Experience with Senior School students (Years 10–12) is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Teacher Registration.
• Tertiary qualification in Learning Support/Special Education and knowledge of Australian Curriculum, QCAA and learning support strategies.
• Experience supporting Senior School students (Years 10–12) is highly desired.
• Sensitivity to student and parent concerns with ability to develop strategies for educational needs.
• Proven ability to identify and program for students with learning needs.
• Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.

Responsibilities

• Support students with recognised learning difficulties or disabilities to access the curriculum.
• Contribute to identification and programming of students with learning needs.
• Collaborate with the Exceptional Learners department to implement strategies.
• Support senior school students within Years 10–12 using appropriate learning supports.

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Teacher to support our Exceptional Learners department. You will play a central role in supporting students with recognised learning difficulties or disabilities to access the curriculum.

What You Bring

• Current Queensland Teacher Registration
