Job summary

ACC Victoria Ltd seeks a caring Learning Support Assistant for ACC Casey, a P-11 Christian school. You will work closely with teachers and the Learning Support team to assist students who require additional support to engage in learning and school life.

This full-time role starts Term 1 2027 and focuses on fostering student confidence, independence and wellbeing within a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

About ACC Casey

ACC Casey, is located at Cranbourne South (45 minutes south of Melbourne), and is a P-11, co-ed, Christian school with Secondary year groups being added each year until P-12 is catered for.

About the role

We are seeking a caring, capable and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.

Working alongside teachers and the wider Learning Support team, you will provide practical assistance to students who require additional support to engage successfully in their learning and school life.

This is a highly relational role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with children and young people and wants to make a meaningful contribution to their learning, confidence and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and small-group learning support under the direction of teaching staff.
• Assisting students to access and participate in classroom learning activities.
• Supporting students with additional learning, behavioural, social or emotional needs.
• Implementing strategies and adjustments identified by teachers and the Learning Support team.
• Assisting teachers with the preparation and organisation of learning resources.
• Supporting students to develop greater independence, confidence and engagement in their learning.
• Contributing to a safe, positive and inclusive classroom and school environment.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, Learning Support staff and other members of the College team.
• Maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries.

This full time role commences Term 1 2027.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;
• Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
• Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
• Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
• Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
• Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress;
• Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;
• Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
• Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
