Job summary

Eileen O'Connor School in Pennant Hills, part of Catholic Schools Broken Bay, seeks an enthusiastic teaching assistant to support students with diverse learning needs. The role runs 52 hours per fortnight on a part-time basis, starting 3 November 2026 and concluding 4 December 2026, with regular Monday and Tuesday attendance.

Eileen O’Connor Catholic School(EOCS)provides quality education for students with a disability from kindergarten to Year 6 anetwork of Support Classesin local parish schools facilitating the transition between base school and support classes and local parish school enrolment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join us in a part-time temporary role (52 hours per fortnight) commencing on 3 November 2026 through to 4th December 2026. Specific Criteria

• A commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for children
• A commitment and interest to support students with special learning needs
• Knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) register
• Ability to assist in teaching under the direction and general supervision of a teacher
• Support students with their individualised learning plans in specific areas and report student progress
• Ability to assist with the selection and preparation of teaching resources to meet student needs and interest
• A commitment to excellence in pedagogy
• An understanding of the needs of students who require individual and classroom support
• Ability to carry out individual self-help programs to develop independent living skills in students
• Ability to supervise groups of students other than classroom situations and on playgrounds
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and IT skills

Qualifications and Accreditations

• Practising Catholic and/or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context
• Valid Working with Children Check
