Job summary

Ipswich Grammar School is seeking a Teacher Aide – Learning Enhancement (Secondary School) to support teachers and students in Year 7–12 within a modern, technology‑rich environment. The role is permanent part-time, term-time, 4–5 days per week, starting in 2027.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Educational Support or be an undergraduate Education student, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills and experience with Microsoft Office. A Blue Card is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Educational Support or be an undergraduate Education student.
• Experience with Microsoft suite of programs.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Blue Card or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers and assist specific students within the classroom.
• Assist with examinations and assignments, including scaffolding and scribing as needed.
• Supervise small groups of students on learning activities.
• Maintain anecdotal records for review of academic and emotional development.
• Collate and develop resources with learning support colleagues and store accessibly.
• Liaise with the Head of Learning Enhancement to support curriculum access.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents to support learning and well‑being.
