Moreton Bay Boys’ College in Manly West, Brisbane, is seeking a caring Teacher Aide to support students in Years 7–12 within the Secondary Learning Enhancement Team.

The role is based in our Secondary Learning Enhancement Space, working 3 days per week and reporting to the Head of Learning Enhancement, with opportunities to contribute to inclusive, safety-focused classroom practice and student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years’ experience supporting students in a secondary school setting.
• Confidence supporting students in senior English, Maths, and Science.
• Current Blue Card (First Aid Certificate desirable).
• Support for the values and Christian ethos of this Uniting Church College.

Responsabilités

• Provide in-class and small group support for verified and NCCD students.
• Assist with supervision during study periods, assessments, and exams.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to administrative tasks.
• Attend weekly team meetings and playground duties.
• Actively contribute to safety citizenship culture by upholding health and safety policies.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a caring and experienced Teacher Aide to join our Secondary Learning Enhancement Team. This role is based in our Secondary Learning Enhancement Space and will involve working 3 days per week, supporting students in Years 7–12. This role will report directly to the Head of Learning Enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small group support for verified and NCCD students
• Actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture by upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.
• Assist with supervision during study periods, assessments, and exams
• Support students with modified programs and reduced subject loads
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to administrative tasks
• Attend weekly team meetings and playground duties

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent)
• 2–3 years’ experience supporting students in a secondary school setting
• Confidence supporting students in senior English, Maths, and Science
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to student needs
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
• A current Blue Card (First Aid Certificate desirable)
• Support for the values and Christian ethos of this Uniting Church College.
