Job summary

Thales Australia is seeking a Business Improvement Manager to lead cross‑functional initiatives at Garden Island, Woolloomooloo. The role focuses on strategic planning, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and delivering operational excellence in safety, efficiency and cost management.

You will guide transformation workstreams, improve reporting platforms, and mentor project teams while aligning with defence objectives and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in business, engineering, project management, or related discipline.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to deliver effective commercial and financial outcomes for business improvement initiatives.

Your Role

Located centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, as the Business Improvement Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and managing business improvement projects within the AWS portfolio. Your role will encompass strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The primary focus will be on delivering operational excellence while ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness are prioritized to meet customer needs and business objectives.
