Job summary

Linkforce is seeking experienced Leading Hands and Supervisors to lead a close-knit team delivering structural remediation and maintenance for CHPP sites in the Bowen Basin. This casual role runs on a long-term 7/7 roster with an October start, based in Queensland.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years in Shutdown leadership, a recognised heavy fabrication or mechanical fitting trade, and relevant safety competencies. Ongoing work with competitive rosters and site support is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years leadership experience in Shutdown as Leading Hand or Supervisor.
• Heavy Fabrication or Mechanical Fitting trade qualification recognised in AU/NZ.
• G1/8/9 & G2 supervisor competencies.
• Working at Heights & Confined Space within 2 years.
• Standard 11 or willingness to obtain.
• Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain.
• BMA Core Inductions or SC Number advantageous.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence - C class minimum.
• Clear communication and people skills.
• Ability to work with site management and clients.
• Uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety.

Due to continued growth across Queensland, Linkforce is seeking experienced Supervisors and Leading Hands to work at our operation in the Bowen Basin. This is a casual position offered on an ongoing long-term roster working a lifestyle-friendly 7/7 roster. October start.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Leading Hands/Supervisors to lead our close-knit, high-performing team, delivering efficient and compliant structural remediation and maintenance services to the onsite Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP).Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising works to ensure all is completed to the client and company specifications
• Leading a team of trade and non-trade personnel to accomplish key deliverables
• Liaising with Linkforce clients and site-based personnel
• Planning and scheduling work and labour requirements
• Monitoring progress against the work schedule
• Leading by example on the tools, promoting safety, quality workmanship, and productive work
• Ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and company HSEQ standards and procedures

What You’ll Need

We are looking for qualified and safety-focused Supervisors and Leadiong Hands who thrive in fast-paced shutdown and maintenance environments.

• Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in Shutdown as Leading Hand or Supervisor
• Heavy Fabrication or Mechanical Fitting trade qualification (AU/NZ recognised)
• G1/8/9 (previously S1/2/3) & G2 supervisor competencies
• Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years)
• Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
• BMA Core Inductions or SC Number is Highly Advantageous
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence - C class minimum
• Clear communication and people skills
• Ability to work effectively with site management and clients
• An uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety
