Job summary

Roadworx is expanding its Spray Seal team at Unanderra and is seeking a Leading Hand to manage daily duties and ensure the safe, timely delivery of spray seal works. You will join an experienced crew and work with the Spray Seal Supervisor and Operations Manager to plan and deliver projects for local councils and civil contractors.

Essential qualifications include a current HR licence and white card, the ability to lead a civil crew, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years directly related experience required in the construction industry.
• Current Driver Licence/HR licence.
• White card.
• Experience leading a civil crew, preferably with asphalt or spray seal.
• You will be physically fit.
• You will have the ability to work on own initiative and be able to work without supervision as well as within a team.
• Two references from a previous employer.
• Dangerous Goods licence is preferred.
• Optional: VOCs in Plant Operation.

The Role:

Roadworx is seeking to expand its current capabilities within its Spray Seal business based at Unanderra. As such, we are seeking a Leading Hand position in the Spray Seal team. If successful, you will be responsible for the daily duties and for the safe and timely delivery of spray seal works. You will work with an experienced crew to deliver works for local councils and civil contractors. You will work with the Spray Seal Supervisor and Operations Manager to plan and deliver works. A strong team player attitude is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be willing to work in a positive team environment. Roadworx has a serious approach to safety, and a strong commitment to safety and the environment. We require candidates who are willing to work within a multi skilled role, willing to step outside the comfort zone and challenge yourself.

Current Driver Licence/HR licence.

White card.

Experience leading a civil crew, preferably with asphalt or spray seal.

You will be physically fit.

Detail orientated.

Qualifications:

Physical Environment:

Frequent ability to lift or move up to 20kg throughout a shift and spend prolonged periods on your feet.

Frequent ability to sit, climb, reach, and bend throughout a shift.

Ability to pass a physical on annual basis, including a drug screen.

Ability to work in outdoor construction environments, with moderate noise levels.
