Job summary

Silverstrand Developments in Brisbane/Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Scaffolder to join our civil construction team. You will report to the Site Supervisor and help build safe, reliable scaffolding structures on our projects.

The role requires 5+ years of scaffolding experience, advanced tickets, White Card, RIW/SARC, a driver’s license, and a commitment to safety. We offer competitive hourly rates and ongoing career progression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil construction experience as a scaffolder.
• Advanced scaffolding ticket.
• Construction Induction card (White Card).
• RIW Card - SARC + WET.
• Current Driver’s licence.
• Fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical.
• Eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong commitment to safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Unloading scaffolding from vehicles.
• Signing off scaffolding as required.
• Creating a stable base on the ground.
• Erecting scaffolding poles and attaching horizontal tubes.
• Fixing scaffolding to a building.
• Laying planks across scaffolding for workers to walk on.
• Fix guard rails and safety nets.
• Take down scaffolding after job completion.
• Ad hoc duties as directed by the Site Supervisor.
• Promote Silverstrand Developments Zero Harm culture and health and safety on site.

You will be based in our Brisbane/ Gold Coast projects.

About the role:

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this role is responsible for:

• Unloading scaffolding from vehicles
• Signing off scaffolding as required
• Creating a stable base on the ground
• Erecting scaffolding poles and attaching horizontal tubes to them
• Fixing scaffolding to a building
• Laying planks across scaffolding for workers to walk on to complete work
• Fix guard rails and safety nets
• Take down scaffolding after job completion
• Other ad hoc duties are requested by the Site supervisor
• Take a proactive approach to Health and Safety and promote Silverstrand Developments Zero Harm Culture

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years' civil construction experience as a scaffolder
• Advanced scaffolding ticket
• Construction Induction card (White Card)
• RIW Card - SARC + WET
• Current Driver’s licence
• Fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical
• An eye for detail and a commitment to quality
• A strong commitment to working safely and productively
