Daracon is seeking a Leading Hand Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for the Beresfield team in NSW. You will lead a team of mechanics and apprentices, overseeing maintenance and repairs to high standards while prioritising safety. Formación

• Experience in a leading hand or supervisor role.
• Knowledge of computer systems and diagnostic tools.
• Exposure to working on light and heavy vehicles.
• Hold your MVRIC licence.
• First aid Certificate.
• Previous experience maintaining transport or civil construction fleet.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise a team of mechanics and apprentices, ensuring maintenance, servicing and repairs are done safely and to a high standard.
• Coordinate daily workshop activities, allocate jobs and monitor workflow to maximise productivity.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults and provide guidance to workshop personnel.
• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures in a safe workshop environment.
• Conduct quality inspections, manage parts and liaise with supervisors, operators and suppliers.

THE ROLE

Daracon has an exciting opportunity for a Leading Hand Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the Beresfield team. As the Leading Hand you will be responsible for

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and supervise a team of mechanics and apprentices, ensuring all vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Coordinate daily workshop activities, allocate jobs and monitor workflow to maximise productivity and minimise vehicle downtime.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, providing technical guidance and support to workshop personnel.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and relevant industry standards, maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment.
• Conduct quality inspections of completed work, manage parts and service requirements, and liaise with supervisors, operators and external suppliers to ensure effective fleet maintenance outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar leading hand or supervisor position
• Knowledge and skills in computer systems and diagnostic tools
• Have exposure to working on light and heavy vehicles
• Hold your MVRIC licence
• Have demonstrated experience working within a team environment
• Have a strong commitment to a 'safety first' environment
• Current Heavy Vehicle Drivers licence (HR or better) an advantage.
• Forklift licence an advantage
• First aid Certificate
• Previous experience maintaining transport or civil construction fleet
