Job summary

Gold Cape Electrical is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to take ownership of projects and lead a small team while coordinating day-to-day operations in Byron Bay.

The role combines hands-on electrical work with client liaison, site management and apprenticeship mentorship, ensuring safety, quality and timely completion across residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Current NSW electrical licence or eligible for licence transfer.
• Strong residential and commercial electrical experience.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or job-management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Confident dealing directly with clients and builders.
• Reliable, self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand Electrician who is ready to take ownership of projects, lead a small team and play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the business.

This is a senior, hands‑on position suited to someone who enjoys being on the tools while also coordinating jobs, communicating with clients and builders, and supporting apprentices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise a small team of electricians and apprentices
• Plan and coordinate electrical work across multiple jobs
• Communicate professionally with clients, builders and other trades
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

ABOUT YOU
