Job summary

UGL Transport in Mackay is seeking a Leading Hand – Electrical to lead and support a team of electrical tradespeople in a safety‑first workshop. You will plan and deliver projects, prepare quotes, inspection reports and work plans to ensure smooth project execution.

About Your Role

About You

• Experience in a Leading Hand or Foreperson role, ideally in an industrial or workshop setting.
• A strong commitment to safety and experience with risk assessments.
• Knowledge of AC/DC motor rewinds and flameproof motors (AS 3800).
• Ability to plan and manage projects, including quoting and inspections.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring others.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current QLD Electrical License (required)
• Relevant Trade Certificate
• Experience with industrial electric vehicle component overhauls (advantageous)
• HVNL Load Manager training (preferred)
• Proficiency in or a willingness to learn systems such as SAP.
• Sound understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
