Job summary

Redpath Partners in Gosford, NSW, is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join the delivery team on a $40M integrated healthcare and commercial development in Gosford. This is a hands-on role currently in the structural phase, working with the Site Manager and Project Manager on a multi-storey concrete project.

You will coordinate day-to-day site activities, manage subcontractors, drive productivity, monitor quality, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trades qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as Leading Hand on healthcare or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of concrete structures and site safety.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily work activities.
• Drive productivity and ensure works are progressing in line with programme.
• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to specification.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote a positive safety culture.
• Liaise with supervisors, engineers and subcontractors to resolve site issues.

An established developer-builder is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join the delivery team on a $40M integrated healthcare and commercial development based in Gosford.

Currently in the structural phase, this is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced Site Manager and Project Manager on a technically challenging multi-storey concrete project, with a business that has a strong pipeline of work across healthcare, education and commercial developments.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily work activities.
• Drive productivity and ensure works are progressing in line with programme.
• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to specification.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote a positive safety culture.
• Liaise with supervisors, engineers and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
• Assist with site inspections, defect management and project handover.

About You

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand on commercial, residential, education or healthcare projects.
• Trade-qualified background preferred.
• Strong understanding of concrete structures and general building methodology.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain programme.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.
