Job summary

Christian Youth Camps Ltd (CYC) is seeking an experienced Leadership Development Coordinator. You will shape the vision for leadership development across Victorian and Tasmanian camps, equipping volunteer leaders to grow in faith and leadership both on camp and in churches, workplaces and communities.

You’ll oversee leadership training, internships, and EQUIP camps, while developing new opportunities to extend impact and align with CYC Ministries Senior Leadership Team.

• Develop and implement a long‑term vision for leadership development across CYC Ministries.

• Lead staff within the Leadership Development area and collaborate with Camp Directors.

About CYC and the opportunity

CYC Ministries facilitates camps, events and leadership opportunities across our campsites in Victoria and Tasmania. We believe camp creates unique opportunities for people to build meaningful relationships, encounter Jesus and take significant steps in their faith.

As our Leadership Development Coordinator, you’ll lead the vision and direction of leadership development across CYC Ministries, equipping and supporting our volunteer leaders to grow both on camp and in their churches, workplaces, schools and communities.

You’ll oversee our leadership training, programs and events, including our Internship Program, Leader in Training programs and EQUIP Leadership Camp, while leading staff and developing new opportunities to grow our impact.

As part of the CYC Ministries Senior Leadership Team, you’ll contribute to the broader vision and direction of our ministry, alongside a young, energetic and passionate team who love what they do and have plenty of fun along the way!

Key areas of focus

• Vision and growth: Develop and implement a long-term vision for leadership development, strengthening existing initiatives and exploring new opportunities.
• Developing leaders: Equip, support and invest in volunteer leaders, helping them grow in their faith, character and leadership.
• Training and programs: Oversee leadership training, events and programs, including our Internship Program, Leader in Training programs and EQUIP Leadership Camp.
• Leading people: Lead and equip staff within the Leadership Development area, while working alongside Camp Directors to provide ongoing care, development and accountability for volunteer leaders.
• Leadership systems: Develop and oversee the policies, processes and training frameworks that support volunteer recruitment, accreditation and development across CYC Ministries.
