Job summary

MPV Sandblasting and Coating Services in Gladstone, QLD, is seeking a Workshop Leading Hand / Industrial Painter. This hands-on role leads daily workshop activities, performs abrasive blasting, surface preparation and coating application, and mentors team members while ensuring safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in industrial painting and blasting, prior supervisory experience, a current licence, and a White Card. Western Australia regional travel not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' industrial painting and blasting experience.
• Leading Hand or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workshop activities and coordinate teams.
• Perform abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and coating application.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Complete inspections, documentation and pre-start checks.
