Job summary

Northrop Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Water and Sewer Engineer to lead project teams and take ownership of technical delivery for water supply and sewer infrastructure across a range of built environment projects.

Based from Sydney, Newcastle or Brisbane, this role offers hybrid work, mentorship of graduates, client-facing responsibilities, and opportunities to contribute to business development and project success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in water and sewer infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Proficient in industry software including 12d, WaterCAD, Mike +, SWMM.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic design principles, infrastructure servicing requirements and utility coordination.
• Ability to review and verify technical designs and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery of water supply and sewer infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, industrial and public infrastructure developments.
• Lead project teams from concept to construction and technical job delivery.
• Attend meetings and inspections with diverse client base and respond to client needs.
• Mentor graduates and undergraduates.
• Support business development through preparation of proposals.
