Job summary

WSP Australia is seeking an experienced Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Water Utilities team in Brisbane. You’ll lead structural design for water projects and mentor engineers while delivering durable solutions that meet Australian standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sector.
• RPV/RPEQ registration; Chartered status.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water‑retaining structures aligned to Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for water-retaining structures, pump stations, sewer networks, pipelines and associated assets.
• Provide technical input into proposals and support business development activities.
• Drive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM-based coordination.
• Undertake condition assessments, design reviews, and verifications.
• Apply Safety-in-Design principles and ensure compliance with OHS&E and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building team capability.
