Qualifications

• Must hold BVSc, DVM or equivalent with Veterinary pathology specialization.
• Registration or eligibility to practice as a veterinarian in Victoria.
• Postgraduate training in Veterinary Pathology and extensive diagnostic pathology experience.
• Fellowship/Membership/board certification in Veterinary Pathology (ANZCVS, ACVP, ECVP, FRCPath or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership as Principal Veterinary Pathologist for AST and Agriculture Victoria.
• Advise the Chief Veterinary Officer and Manager, Animal Health on pathology, diagnostics, and biosecurity priorities.
• Oversee veterinary diagnostic services and emergency animal disease preparedness and response.
