Job description

A veterinarian is required for a maternity cover 8-month fixed-term contract commencing in December 2026.

This is a lead vet role, and the successful applicant will provide day-to-day clinical guidance and support to the 4-person veterinary team, while also stepping in to cover the superintendent duties. You will be involved in a varied caseload of consultations and surgery.

The position is part-time (3 days per week) and 1 weekend per month. There is the opportunity to undertake full time work if desired. No after-hours required.

The ideal vet will be experienced and confident in soft-tissue surgery. Experience mentoring veterinarians in a supportive veterinary practice is desirable but not essential.

The clinic is well-equipped with ultrasound, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment and electrocautery. The clinic attracts a loyal and supportive clientele.

Just 2.5 hours north of Sydney, the lifestyle in this area is superb, with a resident population of over 160 bottlenose dolphins, whales in season, snorkelling, diving and spectacular beaches.
