Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads in Brisbane seeks a Principal Analyst in Network Analysis and Modelling to lead traffic data research and provide expert advice on network performance. This temporary, part-time role spans 12 months at 61 Mary Street, Brisbane.

You will analyse traffic data, model road performance and support stakeholders in decision making, with a focus on road operations data initiatives and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or traffic engineering, data science, computer science, mathematics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic operations research and development projects with TMR stakeholders and partners.
• Provide high-level professional advice and technical support on network performance analysis.
• Manage the development and implementation of complex road operations systems, technologies, applications, specifications and analysis.
• Prepare and deliver executive advice, submissions, standards and briefs on traffic, technology and system issues.
• Support project teams and workshops with internal and external stakeholders to implement road operations data initiatives.
• Work closely with Program Delivery and Operations and teams across INO to improve network performance.
• Support the Leadership Team's strategic decisions to optimise statewide road network operations and deliver branch objectives and departmental priorities.
