Job summary

RecruitR Pty Ltd in Brisbane is partnering with a tier 1 engineering consultancy to deliver major road and transport projects. The traffic engineering function sits within the Transport team and is not hidden behind layers; you’ll own the traffic work end-to-end and shape the project outcome.

You will lead traffic analysis and modelling, work with design engineers to translate data into design decisions, and have room to grow as the function expands locally.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic engineering for large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills.
• Consulting background preferred.
• Ability to explain modelling results to engineers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic analysis and modelling to inform road design and road upgrade projects.
• Work closely with design engineers to explain what the numbers mean for a design and how to optimise it.
• Turn analysis around quickly to keep pace with a busy design office.
• Support planning work through traffic engineering, modelling and analysis.
• Provide traffic input during construction, including temporary traffic management analysis.
• Mentor a graduate to support traffic-related tasks.
