Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a motivated surface water professional to join our H&H team in Australia. The role can be based in Brisbane or Townsville, reporting to the QLD Surface Water State Lead, and involves delivering surface water assessments and design across multiple sectors using hydraulic and hydrologic modelling tools.

The successful candidate will hold an engineering degree, work toward RPEQ registration, and demonstrate strong communication, report writing and project leadership within

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification with experience in surface water.
• RPEQ registration or plan to achieve within six months.
• Extensive hydraulic modelling experience, especially 2D modelling (TUFLOW).
• Hydrologic modelling knowledge (RORB, WBNM, XP RAFTS) and relevant guidelines.
• Experience with water-related structures and site water management is valued.
• Excellent report writing and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surface water environmental assessments and design projects.
• Utilise hydrologic/hydraulic modelling software and water balance tools.
• Collaborate with teams to prepare quality reports for clients on time and budget.
• Develop and sustain relationships with clients and SLR staff.
• Contribute to business development and proposal preparation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the team.
