Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment seeks a reliable Spatial System Developer with a GIS background to lead a small team and manage the client’s GIS spatial system. You will deliver 24/7 system support, drive ongoing GIS development, and provide technical leadership across developers, technicians and administrators.

Responsibilities include administering GIS systems, developing bespoke GIS solutions, coordinating sprints, and mentoring team members to improve productivity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Expert Python development experience with GUI toolkits.
• Strong JavaScript/Node.js and REST API skills.
• Proficiency in statically typed languages (C++, Go, C#, Java).
• Solid SQL skills with PostgreSQL; spatial databases (PostGIS) preferred.
• Experience with GeoServer or ArcGIS Server essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain spatial GIS system 24/7.
• Develop and extend GIS system to support business needs.
• Mentor a small team of GIS developers, technicians and admins.
• Prioritize tasks to meet project dates with quality and cost control.
• Communicate with stakeholders and document system processes.
• Provide reports and assist with new technology introductions.
• Oversee development of bespoke GIS solutions (databases, REST APIs, desktop/web apps).
• Provide technical supervision including code reviews and sprint planning.
• Administer Linux and Windows server environments.
