Job summary

Randstad partnered with a leading Queensland Government Agency to recruit a Senior Project Officer (Spatial) AO6. You will lead spatial information management, GIS analysis, and mapping across the Abandoned Mine Lands Program (AMLP) and water assets.

You will translate complex spatial data into actionable insights, report to senior leaders, and collaborate with engineers, hydrogeologists and contractors to drive environmental risk reduction and asset protection across Queensland.

Qualifications

• Strong GIS background with data governance and spatial databases.
• Experience delivering spatial analysis for environmental or land/water contexts.
• Ability to translate spatial data into clear reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GIS datasets and mapping systems for abandoned mine sites and water assets.
• Perform advanced spatial analyses and predictive modeling to support remediation strategies.
• Produce technical reports, maps and dashboards for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with environmental engineers, hydrogeologists and contractors to align spatial info with program goals.
• Identify and implement improvements in spatial tools and workflows.
