Job summary

Aurec is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead architectural direction for critical government systems in Canberra. You will drive end-to-end design, governance, and roadmaps, mentoring a team of architects and aligning solutions with enterprise strategy.

You'll apply SAFe practices, leverage the Microsoft stack (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, Power BI, .NET Core), and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust architectures while upholding security

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solution or software architecture within government environments.
• 3+ years leading solution architecture teams.
• Demonstrated SAFe delivery experience in PI Planning and architecture prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction to a team of Solution Architects within a SAFe environment.
• Lead the design, assurance, and delivery of end-to-end, secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust solution architectures and Architecture Decision Records.
• Oversee architecture governance, maintaining technical standards, reusable design patterns, and risk frameworks.
• Drive continuous innovation by evaluating emerging Microsoft technologies, including Artificial Intelligence integration.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture roadmaps and strategic planning to support future-state technology vision.

• Technical Toolkit: Strong expertise across the Microsoft technology stack (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services/cloud-native architectures, Power BI, .NET Core) alongside exposure to architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA).

• Experience: 5+ years in solution or software architecture within government environments, including 3+ years leading solution architecture teams.

• Core Capabilities: Proven track record in SAFe delivery (PI Planning, feature assessments, architecture prioritisation) combined with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

• Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current Baseline security clearance or higher.
