Job summary

ShiftCare is seeking a Software Engineer – Integrations for a remote role. The successful candidate will design and deliver integration features across Ruby on Rails, React/Vue frontends, and cloud services, collaborating with product and engineering teams in an Agile environment.

You’ll work in a mature DevOps culture, ensuring scalable, reliable systems. The role is Australian-based in practice but open to candidates in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Philippines or Malaysia, with remote work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable systems at large scale.
• Proficiency in Ruby, React JS, Vue JS.
• Experience with Ruby environment and code reviews.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile, DevOps and cloud workloads (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Architect elegant, maintainable, testable solutions to complex problems.
• Integrate with third-party platforms and services to pull in data.
• Work within project management guidelines and security best practices.
• Address performance bottlenecks in backend/frontend infrastructure.
• Contribute inputs to product roadmap and team discussions.
• Support critical technology incidents as needed.
• Lead engineering efforts to deliver scalable systems.
