Job summary

Mercy Health in Warrnambool is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse in Charge to provide clinical leadership and deliver exceptional resident-focused care within our residential aged care service.

You will work closely with the Clinical Care Coordinator, Service Manager, and multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and operational leadership in the absence of the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in Residential Aged Care.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervision of clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, resident-focused clinical care.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of nurses and care staff.
• Oversee clinical operations and provide leadership in the absence of the Service Manager.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct assessments, care planning, treatment and documentation to high standards.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with aged care standards and policies.
• Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare professionals to achieve positive resident outcomes.
