Job summary
UGL Limited seeks a Lead/Principal SESA Engineer for a major rail project in South East Queensland, based in Brisbane's CBD. You will lead systems and/or safety assurance activities, shape engineering frameworks, engage regulators and stakeholders, and drive readiness across design, construction and commissioning.
You will coach teams, implement lifecycle processes, and partner with clients and partners to deliver a safe, compliant, and on-time programme for a multi-billion rail expansion.
Qualifications
- Recognised engineering qualification relevant to the position.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in systems engineering, safety assurance or compliance on complex projects.
- Experience on major projects valued at over $100 million.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage systems engineering and/or safety assurance for defined project scopes.
- Lead requirements definition, allocation and management per standards.
- Coordinate risk assessment to identify, assess and mitigate hazards and develop safety arguments.
- Mentor team members to build capability across the project team.
